12월 1일부터 3일 사이에 열리는 머드토피아 축제에 교민 여러분을 초대 합니다.

보령 머드축제의 콘텐츠를 로토루아에 수출하여 열리는 이번 머드 축제에는 보령시에서 50명 이상의 직원이 파견되어 로토루아의 이번 머드축제에 우리의 노하우를 전한다고 합니다.

 

콘텐츠 관련 수출은 한국으로서는 처음 있는 시작으로 로토루아에 가장 인접한 해밀턴과 와이카토 교민들께 많은 참여를 부탁하고 당부 해 왔습니다.

 

1일의 개막을 시작으로 2일에는 보령시에서 만들어진 머드축제의 많은 행사가 이루어 지고 3일은 행사의 문을 닫습니다.

2일에 많이 참여 하시어 시작을 연 보령시 콘텐츠 수출에 힘을 보태었으면 합니다.

How do I know where everything is located at Mudtopia?

When do the gates open and close?
On Friday 1 December the gates open at 1pm for some lucky local kids who will be putting the mud through its paces before gates open to the general public at 3pm and close at 8pm. On Saturday 2 December gates open at 10am and close at 7pm if you have a Mudpass or 10.15pm if you are staying for the concert. Sunday 3 December gates open at 10am and close at 4pm.

 

What is AWOP and how does it work?
AWOP (Another Way of Payment) is festival bank system so you don’t have to carry cash. AWOP is perfect for keeping lines short and improving access.

Cash and eftpos transactions will not be accepted anywhere on site at Mudtopia so AWOP is the way to go.

You can top up your AWOP wristband with cash or via Eft-pos, Visa or MasterCard at the onsite Top-Up booths. The first time you top up your electronic wristband there will be a once off service fee of $3 and there is a maximum top up at any one time of $300.

 

What can I eat and drink at Mudtopia?
Your tastebuds are in for a treat with multiple street food vendors and licensed Mud Bar area for a tipple or two. Check out the map for what’s on offer.

 

Am I allowed to bring my own food and drink into Mudtopia?
BYO to Mudtopia is not permitted and everyone will be subject to a search on entry.

 

Will my bag be checked when I go into the Festival?
Please have your bag ready for inspection when you go through the gates.

 

What do I do with my extra stuff?
The AMI Stow and Go is a secure service ready and waiting to store your bag or backpack, all for free. Safe and easy to get find, drop off and access your stuff during the day at any time.

What should I bring with me to Mudtopia?
Backpack or small bag, a change of clothes, towel, plastic bag for your muddy stuff, dry bag to hold all the bits and pieces you want to keep handy like your phone, keys and cards.

 

How do I get to Rotorua?
It’s an easy drive to Rotorua from any direction, or there’s great deals from bus companies, or you could even catch one of the frequent domestic flights into Rotorua Airport. If you’re coming from outside of New Zealand, you won’t find it hard to get a bus or drive yourself from international airports in Auckland and Wellington.

Can I camp at Mudtopia?
No, sorry. There is no designated campsite area within the Rotorua Raceway.

 

Is Freedom Camping allowed?
No, Freedom Camping is not permitted within Rotorua, however, if you have a vehicle with purpose built sleeping facilities, you can park them and sleep in some specific locations.
