The soloist stream at Conservatorium of Music requires an intense programme of study that is assessed in two full length 90minute public recitals. Come along to support Hyein this his first of two exam recitals this year bound to inspire.

#Hye In Kim is second year special soloist stream student at University of Waikato.
Hye In has had many successes in competitions including being the youngest semi-finalist of the NZ National Concerto Competition at the age of 11.
At 13 he was awarded 1st prize at the International Padova Competition in Italy and performed Saint-Saens Cello Concerto with the Padova Symphony Orchestra as a finalist in the concerto section of the competition and awared
Most Promising prize at the PACANZ in 2015 and
2nd prize in the PACANZ in 2017.
Winning the New Zealand Secondary Chamber Music Competition with his Yerevan Trio in 2016
Most Promising cellist prize at the inaugural Wallace International Cello Competition in 2016
2nd prize in the 50th New Zealand National Concerto Competition in 2016~2017
performed Dvorzak Cello Concerto with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra in 2017
Prize winner in Gisbourn International Competition in 2017
Participated in many cello master classes and Music festivals.
