VICTORIA STREET PLANTING

• Commences 31 August, and runs for four weeks.
• Will see the replacement of plants, with new species including seasonal annual bedding varieties (for example cosmos and begonias), roses, lavender and sections of new grass lawn.
• Requires the removal of six trees, all of which will be replaced with Tulip trees.
• Some plants removed from Victoria Street will be replanted on Cobham Drive and other locations as required.
• Will be staged, in three sections, from Claudelands Bridge to Alma Street, Alma Street to Collingwood Street, and from Collingwood Street to Hood Street.
• Will result in some temporary road closures and limitations on parking spaces while the work is underway.
• Pedestrian access will be retained throughout the project.
• Council's social media channels (Facebook, Twitter) will have regular updates about the work.
