We want to invite your community group to be a part of a project to be run by Hamilton City Libraries to digitally record the history of its communities. This is a great forum for us to leave our mark behind for the future generations. We am seeking contributions from all communities . This free website is a part of the New Zealand National Library archive recording our history forever. The website will be created by you and maintained and hosted by the library. You will have full control on the content via personal login and password. Everything will be copyright protected. It can upload multimedia such as images, audio and video along with text. We are looking at the human side or stories from the community groups and individual Hamiltonians.Community groups can use it as their web space to upload their events and activities along with its history. There is no cost or limit on the amount that you can upload. More the better.
Basically we want anything and everything to showcase the varied culture & communities of Hamilton. Any more ideas please let me know. We will provide all assistance and training.
