뉴질랜드 국회의원 선거에서 투표를 하려면 반드시 선거인 등록을 해야 합니다.

뉴질랜드에서는 적어도 3 년에 한 번 새로운 국회와 정부를 선출하기 위한
총선을 실시합니다. MMP (혼합비례대표제) 선거제도에서는 선거인으로
등록한 각 사람에게 두 번의 투표권을 행사하도록 허용합니다. 한 번의 투표는
귀하가 선호하는 정당을 선택하기 위한 것입니다. 두 번째는 귀하가 원하는
지역구 국회의원을 선택하기 위한 것 입니다. 귀하의 거주 주소는 귀하가 속할
지역구를 결정해 줍니다. 선거구에는 일반 선거구와 마오리 선거구가 있습니다.
각 선거구에는 선거인으로 등록한 모든 사람의 명단, 즉 선거인 명부가
있습니다. 귀하가 18 세나 그 이상이면 선거인으로 등록할 자격이 되며 법에서
정한대로 반드시 선거인 등록을 해야 합니다. 귀하가 17 세이면 임시등록을 할
수 있습니다. 일단 등록이 되면 귀하의 인적사항을 최신 정보로 유지해야
합니다. 뉴질랜드 우체국㈜에서 근무하는 선거인 등록관이 선거인 명부를
관리합니다.

 

 

Ethnic Communities Enrolment Session

Hamilton Multicultural Services Trust and Elections New
Zealand have organised an Ethnic Communities
Enrolment Session to assist you with the Enrolment Form.
A representative from Elections New Zealand will be
available to answer any question you might have
regarding the process of enrolment.
ENROL to VOTE at the up coming local government
election on 17 September to 9 October 2010.

The first step to getting ready for the local elections – enrolling to vote
This year people eligible to vote and who are enrolled will have the chance to vote in
local elections to select the people who run their local council and health board.
Only people enrolled to vote can take part in these elections.

You can enrol if you:
are 18 years of age or older; and
have lived in New Zealand for more than one year continuously at some time in
your life
are a New Zealand citizen who has been in New Zealand some time in the past
three years
are a permanent resident (with that stamped in your passport) who has lived in
New Zealand for one year

Enrolling is easy. Enrolment forms are available from the elections website
www.elections.org.nz, by free texting your name and address to 3676, from your local
PostShop or by calling 0800 ENROL NOW (0800 36 76 56). You can also check your
details and enrol online at the website.
In July if you are enrolled you will receive an enrolment update pack in the mail to check
that your details are correct.
